Connecting Your Domain to Hosting
To make your website accessible via your domain name, you need to point your domain to our hosting servers.
Option 1: Using Nameservers (Recommended)
This is the easiest method and gives you full control:
- Log into your domain registrar (where you bought your domain)
- Find the DNS or Nameserver settings
- Update the nameservers to the ones provided in your hosting welcome email
- Save the changes
DNS changes can take 24-48 hours to fully propagate, though often it's much faster.
Option 2: Using A Records
If you prefer to keep your domain's nameservers at your registrar:
- Get your hosting server's IP address from your control panel
- In your domain's DNS settings, create an A record
- Point the A record to your hosting IP address
- Set the TTL to 3600 (1 hour) for faster updates
Verifying Your Setup
After making changes, you can verify they're working by:
- Using online DNS checker tools
- Checking if your website loads at your domain
- Verifying in your control panel that the domain is connected
Common Issues
Domain not resolving: Wait 24-48 hours for DNS propagation. Clear your browser cache and try again.
Wrong nameservers: Double-check the nameservers in your welcome email match what you entered.
Domain still pointing to old host: This is normal during DNS propagation. The old site may show until propagation completes.
